1. Use only on the nose. 2. Avoid using on acne blemishes or swollen, sunburned, excessively dry skin, or skin prone to spider veins. 3. Consult a physician before using on skin being treated with prescription acne medication. 4. Avoid using on skin which is sensitive to bandages or peel-off face masks. 5. 1. Remove strip from pouch. Twist strip to loosen and separate slits prior to use. 2. After washing your face, thoroughly wet your nose. The strip won't stick on a dry nose. 3. Dry hands. Peel strip off plastic liner. Apply to nose area, smooth side down, pressing down to ensure good contact with skin. 4. Let dry for about 10-15 minutes until stiff to the touch — like papier-mâché. 5. No matter how many times I use a Bioré nose strip (which I've been doing every week or two for several years), there's a moment of childlike fascination of examining the strip from every angle that has just been peeled from my nose to see exactly how much stuff it has extracted. Every time, I think to myself, "how did all of that get there?"
I don't know how it all got there, but the Bioré strips get it out. They're easy to use. I use them after a hot steamy shower, under the assumption that my pores will have opened up and thus be more willing to deposit their unwelcome residents onto the sticky strip. I leave the strip on for awhile. I can't honestly tell you how long it is, for I go about the rest of my routine until I reach a point where it's time to continue on with my daily routine for my face. Peeling the strip off is quick and easy, and I wouldn't say it hurts at all -- easier than peeling off a bandage. Whatever discomfort exists is immediately mitigated by the fascination of examining the strip.
I admit that I always make sure to use a Bioré strip before I get a facial. The strips are a lot more comfortable than my esthetician's extractions (ouch!), and I like to imagine that I've made her job a little bit easier.

I've used these before, and I love them! They lift all that gunk out of your pores nicely! Be sure to wash before and after though, if you don't wash after you will break out all over your nose. Once the pores are open, dirt can get in! So be sure to wash with warm water then pat with cold water. It closes the pores. I sincerely recommend this item! It doesn't hurt, it works wonders, and it's not very expensive.

I discovered these strips when they first came out back in the 90's. A bunch of friends and I went to the Lillith Fair concert over here in Michigan. They were handing out one free Biore strip per person. The concert was great but then intermission came and we had nothing to do. We decided to try out one of these strips. Everyone chose me because my nose was littered with blackheads that I had been trying to remove for years with no luck at all. We had brought with us a cooler to keep some food and drinks cold. So, we took an ice cube from the cooler and used that to thoroughly wet my nose. We put the strip on there and held it down for about 30 seconds and then left it till it became very stiff (I think about 12 minutes). It did hurt a little pulling the strip off my nose. When it came off, my friend that was helping me pull off the strip just gasped in amazement. I looked at her and said, what? She said every single blackhead is gone! I didn't believe her for one second because I spent so many years trying to get rid of them. Then, she showed my the strip. It was pretty nasty. The strip looked like it was covered in deep black hairs over every inch of it, but we quickly realized that what was on there was not hairs. For the next two days my nose was spewing oil uncontrollably. It was so bad to the point where I had to put a towel over my pillow while sleeping. The oil gush subsided after those two days. I finished off the box, using a strip every couple of weeks. Now, I use a pore strip every once in blue moon. I maintain my blackhead free nose by using astringent and following with a noncodemogenic moisturizer (one that doesn't clog pores).
